Welcome

Pork Chop Productions is dedicated to producing theatre, film and TV with a focus on Australian stories and themes.

Pork Chop was established in 1995 by actor/director Jeremy Sims. He brought together a group of like-minded friends and associates to form an ongoing creative outlet that has produced some of the most outstanding productions ever seen in Australia.

Welcome to the sty!

Pork Chop news

\'Brilliant Monkey\', by Al Dukes, was a great success on the recent regional tour. The cast and crew survived fires and earthquakes in Victoria, floods in NSW and crazed bikies on planes in Sydney airport!!  Nothing could stop Al and Warwick getting on stage - well the floods did for one night - but they made it through!  Pork Chop want to thank Arts On Tour, Arts NSW, Street Furniture and all our crew who helped put the show on the road. Cheers!

Projects on our slate:

‘Beneath Hill 60’, written by David Roach, is a feature film that will be directed by Jeremy Sims and produced by Bill Leimbach & Jeremy Sims. It is based around the story of the Australian Tunnelling Corp that operated beneath the German Lines on the Western Front during WW1. Brendan Cowell will play the lead role of Oliver Woodward. www.beneathhill60.com.au

‘Last Cab To Darwin’ - a feature film based on the award winning theatre production of the same name. The play was written by Reg Cribb, directed by Jeremy Sims and toured nationally following a sell-out season at the Sydney Opera House in 2003. PCP is developing the film script, in conjunction with Screen Australia. Reg and Jeremy are writing it, and Jeremy Sims will direct the movie.

‘Macquarie’  – is our next stage production. It will be a theatrical ‘event’ based on the life and times of Lachlan Macquarie & his wife Elizabeth. Aimed for a 2010 season to coincide with the Bicentennial of Governor Macquarie, the show is created by Jeremy Sims, written by David Roach [\'Young Einstein\', \'Reckless Kelly\', Hill 60\'] with Oscar nominee John Collee [Happy Feet, Master and Commander] as our script editor. Pork Chop will team up with the Sydney Opera House and STC to produce the multimedia production.

‘After The Game’ -  is a story for TV, a drama series conceived by Jeremy Sims. He will team up with Matt Newton to develop the series, with Tony McNamara, Brendan Cowell and Reg Cribb as some of the writers who will help bring this series to life.
